Ralph Lauren Polo Green Cologne Intense Review
Ralph Lauren is the King of lifestyle and no exceptions were made with this 2021 release of Polo Green Cologne Intense. This fragrance screams Confident and masculinity and it’s the perfect fragrance for summer.
First up let’s discuss: The Design
As you can see it’s still the classic polo Cologne bottle from back in the day. It’s been updated with a darker, more richer looking green and the cap is now gun metal instead of gold and of course it has the classic polo pony. Which i think looks a lot more masculine. Next up: The Fragrance Profile
This is an EDP with top notes of basil, spearmint and grapefruit. The heart notes are clary sage, violet leaf absolute, and thyme. The base notes are patchouli, vetiver, and ambroxan, (record scratch) yo pause. What the heck in ambroxan? Side Note: If you know what it is, feel free to share with me and I’ll be sure to shout to give you a personal shoutout cuz Idk what is it. I probably should’ve looked it up but oh well! Can’t do nothing bout that now. Crickets sound…
Next up: When to Wear it?
Because this fragrance is very strong and masculine, this is definitely one to wear during the warmer months and something i’d wear to date night or at an event. My reasoning is, this scent is spicy and it’s stands out, and those are the times you want to stand out. You don’t want to overdo it
With that being said, because it’s an EDP You’re going to get about 6-8 hours or at least that’s what I experienced and it lasted even longer on my clothes. On a scale from 1-5 on my personal sillage scale, I’m going to give this one a 4. I think the spiciness of this one is what makes it so strong, but I want to point out it’s not overwhelming at all. Well at least not to me.

So if you’re looking to try this out you can pick this one up at your local fragrance counters, this one in particular came from Dillards and it’s a 2 oz bottle and I only paid $70 for it. It also comes in a 4 oz bottle for $90 and an 8 oz bottle for $115. The 2 oz bottle is more than enough to accommodate your everyday needs so I’ll have it listed below for you to check out.
Lastly: Overall Opinion
Overall I would give this on a scale from 1-5 a four! Which isn’t bad. It’s actually an 80% (😬) and the reason why is because although it smells way better than the original green like way better! Like the original green smelled like ya grandpas aftershave or something. But this new green is good. Not great. I think they probably could’ve toned down on the spiciness but that’s just my opinion. It’s definitely not a deal breaker for me and it shouldn’t be for you.
